Today is New Years Day — a perfect day to post this page. The universe has given me many gifts and I like to show my gratitude. This list will always be a work in progress. Here is who and what I appreciate (in no particular order).
- Tobias… my darling little boy helps me see life with the wonder of a child.
- Bryan… I could not ask for a better partner in life. Thanks for making me coffee every morning and helping with the laundry and the dishes and supporting me always.
- Mom… she constantly inspires me with her love, grace and creativity.
- Bruce… for teaching me to love nature. You hike with me in spirit.
- John… for encouraging me to read. I miss you and our book talks.
- Dad… for the fishing excursions. I wish you were here.
- In-law parents… Nigel you have shown me much love. Vicki you are like a second mother to me.
- The Puppy… well Thomson isn’t really a puppy but he certainly is a character even when he sleeps on his head.
- Samantha… we are sisters by heart.
- Michael… for being a great friend and Bryan’s best friend.
- Glenn and Marie… for all the support over the years.
- Shelley and Claude… for being good friends and loving Tobias like you do.
- Bill and Terry… for bringing us into your family gatherings.
- My friends from OAC… you’ve been there for me in more ways than you can imagine.
- Roslyn… for finding me, as well as having faith in my writing and cooking abilities.
- Writing… a gift and passion that has transformed my world.
- Those who read my books… thank you.
- Passion… it is what drives me to follow through on inspiration.
- Inspiration… without it this world would be dull.
- Home… I love our Victorian Gem and I feel like I belong here.
- The garden… for the beauty and calm that it provides.
- My neighbours… Judy for pointing out the weeds, Debbie for her big heart, Nancy for her wit and Anna for her determination.
- The snow… I love to get lost in watching it fall on a winter’s night.
- Snowplow operators… thanks for giving up your time to keep us safe.
- People who clear their sidewalks… you make my life easier.
- Books… some educate me and some let me lose myself in other worlds.
- Wilderness… your beauty grounds me and makes me feel at one with the world.
- Hugs… and the encompassing love that comes with them.
You’re very sweet.
You thanked my dad twice.
